ARCHIBALD HARMON
Archibald Harmon is my husband's gr-gr-grandfather, born in Berkeley County, South Carolina in 1810. Archibald was married to Sealy Ann Rogers from South Carolina and there son is Jerry M. Harmon born August 1840 in Berkeley County. Jerry Harmon was married to Laura Ann Burbage born August 10th,1847. Jerry and Laura's son is James Tillman Harmon born, of course, in Berkeley County September 18th,1878. This is my husband,Ben's, grandfather. James was married to Olivia C. Harmon born May 23rd, 1888 in Summerville, South Carolina. James and Olivia had these children: Bill Harmon, James T. Harmon Jr.(Nink), Maggie Harmon Singletary,Marie Harmon Postell,Jeff Harmon and my father-in-law Ben Tillman Harmon.
BEN TILLMAN HARMON
Ben was born in Summerville, S.C.on May 20th,1925 and died in Summerville on January 15th,1998.Ben was married to Selina May Burbage born January 1st,1924 and is still living on Harmon Hill. We called it Harmon Hill because all of Tillman's family was born and raised in this area. At one time, the Harmon's had over 65 acres of land and some of the family still lives here on land given to them by Mr. Archibald, handed down through generations.
