Some families know a great deal about their heritage and that is why I travel this long and winding road of geneaology, sometimes to nowhere, other times to a pot o' gold. I have begun this search so my grandchildren will have a heritage that they may pass down through each generation to keep the family alive, if only in their hearts and memories. On this page I will provide you with a little information about my family and will begin to tell you about our ancestors. First, I want to say thank you to all my Reno,McElvana, Alverson and Meads relatives who have helped me so much in my search. So, Scott,Jean,Stella,Val, Marjorie, Susan, Dee and Dian thanks for helping me find a heritage that I am so proud of! As you know, I am Nell "Ann" (Smith) Harmon. I was born in Jefferson County, Alabama on August 3rd,1951. My parents are Mavis Louise Reno and Charles Herman Smith. I am married to Ben Louis Harmon from Berkeley County, South Carolina and we have 2 beautiful daughters and 3 extra-great grandchildren. My oldest daughter is Michele Lanier married to Andrew Odom and they have one beautiful and smart child, Joshua Andrew Odom who is now in the 2nd grade and has been accepted in the Excel Program at his school for talented and gifted children.Josh excells in baseball and was shortstop for his team his 1st year in Little League. My youngest daughter is Marlene Denise who is married to Timothy Robertson and they have 2 beautiful and smart children, Kylie Danielle and Timothy Jr. Kylie is a cracker jack at softball and made the All-Stars this year in her league. What can I say about Timothy except that he is all-boy, don't give him a 4-wheeler and say "Take a spin,Son" unless you want to repair the house.Kylie and Timothy are big fans of Backstreet Boys, InSynx and Gotti 13.They have been backstage at several of their concerts and have lots of pictures with them. Now, the road to our family tree will began, so buckle-up tight and hold on for your'e in for a long and bumpy ride!! Here's just a tid-bit before we start the car: Our Reno side of the family are natives of Angoumois in the Bordeaux region of France. Our McElvana and Meads side are from Ireland. We have two possible sites but are still researching. Our Smith and Alverson side are Cherokee and Norwegian from St.Clair County, Alabama. That's enough to get you started so let's crank her up and go for a GREAT ride down our " Heritage Highway". Sign My Guestbook View My Guestbook |
